Hi Friend,

Are you speaking of transport by road or rail, mixed sea/land carriage or...?

Confirmation means to grant a credit facility to the issuing bank, covering bank and Country risk, so IMHO this is possible.

Banks will try to word l/c in order to bind transport document to theirselves, e.g. Truck waybill consigned to a forwarder or warehouse, so the disposal will follow the acceptance of documents by applicant, etc.
