Good Morning,

My letter of credit is calling for a Full set Bill of Lading marked "Received for shipment" in the Documents Required. I also have another letter of credit that also asked for the Bill of Lading to be marked "Received for shipment but it has been added in the additional conditions. My question is should I be looking for the Preprinted writing to state Received to fufill this requirement, or should I also see a seperate notation stating Received for shipment elsewhere on the face of the document.

Regards,

Hi Friend, bill of lading are

Hi Friend,

bill of lading are normally, received for shipment, and must be integrated with an on board notation to fullfill the requirements of UCP 600. If a received for shipment is called or acceptable that's ok. If preprinted " shipped on board" it must bring a "received for shipment " notation duly signed that supersedes the preprinted wording.

Probably Art 20 a ii,  must be excluded to avoid misunderstanding.

Other comments appreciated

ciao
