Hi
I have to ship 2 machines under a single LC that allows partial shipments.
The 1st machine will be shipped by air and the 2nd one by sea. Can you help me how to word the LC. A sample or a site where to find sample LC will be of much help.

Two modes of shipments
1. First of all incoterms to be used appropriately applicable for all modes of transport i.e. CPT/CIP/DAF/DDU/DDP
2.In other conditions clearly mention that first shipment of so and so machine by air and and the second shipment of so and so by sea (if u are sure that first is definately by air and second by sea)
3. In documents required column state as stated below.
In case of air shipment:
Air way bill in original + 3 copies consigned to .... bank marked freight prepaid/payable evidencing the current air freight of goods notify ....
In case of sea shipment:
Full set of signed clean on board ocean bill of lading made out to the order blank endorsed marked freight pre paid/payable at destination evidencing shipment of merchandise described above notify...
