PRESENTATION OF DOCUMENTS
As a continuation of Anup Sinha , pls note the bank will provide a copy of covering letter with their stamp and time as a proof of receipt of documents. Mostly the person sitting in the reception counter is collecting the documents and pass to the trade finance department for checking. If any document is missing / discrepancy they will let you know by sending advise or you can expect the call.
As per UCP 600 the negotiating bank will take 5 working days for checking and they will send official advise as a token of documents dispatch to the issuing bank. In case you are getting any information you can follow up with the bank and chase for the courier number and date.

Forward the documents alongwith your covering letter which will contain the list of documents (also the number of copies - original / copies) you have attached. Request your banker to negotiate the docs and credit your a/c (if sight L/c).
Take acknowledgement from your banker on this. This will serve your purpose.
