I have another question, our supplier despatched the consignments bysea againt two purchase orders. My question is this
Order 1 pertains to mode of shipment is bysea & mode of payment is L/C
Order 2 pertains to mode of shipment bysea & mode of payment is T/T.
how i can clear the goods from custom authorities without original shipping documents for order 2. Because without original shipping documents of order 2. we cannt take delivery from custom authorities and material will remain under heavy demurrages.
for order # 1. supplier should endorsed the original documents in bank & his bank forward these documents to our bank for congisment clearance and without original shipping documents we cannot take delivery from custom authorities and material will remain under heavy demurrages.

This is the wrong forum! Should have been in "letters of credit"
But with just one B/L and two deliveries you can only take them together or not.
In case you want to take up only a part of it, you need the carrier to split the delivery in two deliveries, which cannot be done without his consent and the consent of the shipper.
Besides, presenting the B/L under a credit with other goods not contained under the credit is always a valid discrepancy. So you can put some pressure on the seller, provided you did timely reject the docs under the credit.

You can get shipping documents by DHL courier for which payment made by TT
You also can get shipping documents for which you opened Letter of credit from your bank.
In this way, you can take delivery for two ordered materilas.

Sir, i ve just received the copies of original shipping docs.
but on copies of shipping docs we cannot take delivery from custom authorities they always demanded original shipping docs in TT & BYAIR cases.
